February 2020 Civic Club Meeting A BIG Success!

We had another BIG turnout to the Meadowcreek Village Civic Club Meeting held at the Forest Oaks Baptist Church on Thursday Feb. 13th, 2020. It is so fantastic to see more, and more of our neighbors getting involved with the our great neighborhood. There were informative guest speakers and good questions asked by our fellow “Creekers”. We appreciate the participation by everyone. An important topic was addressed at the meeting this evening. The stray pet population continues to trouble our city and our neighborhood. It will take a huge effort by everyone to help make this issue improve. Two of our guest speakers are working very hard to improve this important issue.  Angelita Sampaio and Gloria Medina Zenteno spoke last night at the Meadowcreek Village Civic Club Meeting. Angelita is with EMANCIPET; a low cost animal health care facility that serves all that need assistance with their pets or even stays that they pickup to care for.  Gloria is the President of Barrio Dogs; a non profit organization that helps with animal health, animal rescue, and is a wonderful resource for information that is pet care related. Together they work to share information on pet related events like the “Big Fix”; a citywide pet spay and neuter event being held on February 22, 2020 by the Unity for a Solution organization. You can click here for details on both the organization and the BIG FIX.  www.unityforasolution.org

Thanks again for all of our neighbors, law enforcement, and special guests for attending our wonderful meeting. Special thanks to our GRAND PRIZE provider: Cathy Spacek (Rodeo Houston Tickets). Special thanks to Kathy B. and Tom Z. for letting us borrow your meeting photos! 🙂   See you again in APRIL!
